Lenten & Holy Week Worship Series:  Savior, Servant, Friend

Join us on Sundays this Lent for a series “Savior, Servant, Friend.”  A time to marvel at the many blessings we received when He laid down his life for us on the cross and then rose victorious from the grave. Each service in this series dwells upon a different aspect of our greatest Friend and what each characteristic means to us as his followers and friends.

Week 2 – Listener:  We embrace the news that Jesus listens to us like no other and answers all our questions and concerns.

Week 3 – Encourager:  We recognize that Jesus encourages us in our faith to live our life for him.

Week 4 – Protector:  We acknowledge that Jesus protects us from the devil and from danger and keeps us safe in him.

Week 5 – Comforter:  We look to Jesus who comforts us in struggles and sorrows that we might find rest in his promises.

Palm Sunday – King:  We begin Holy Week by welcoming Jesus as he enters Jerusalem as our king, ready to overthrow sin, death and the devil.

Maundy Thursday – Servant:  We witness that Jesus is a servant to his friends when he washes their feet and serves them his body and blood in bread and wine.

Good Friday – Savior:  We remember most profoundly that Jesus is our Savior, who died on the cross to reunite us with God and one another.

Easter Sunday – Redeemer:  We celebrate that Jesus is our Redeemer, who frees us to live a new life.

 Mid Week Lenten Services:

Midweek Lenten Services will begin on Tuesday March 11th at 7pm. The People vs Judas Iscariot – a five-part courtroom drama as we reflect on the justice of God’s law – exposing our sin – and the extent of God’s Grace through faith in Jesus Christ by struggling

with the case of “The People vs Juday Iscariot.

Help Feed the Hungry: Sowing Seeds & Growing Community

Sowing seeds & Growing Community is an initiative to address the growing demand of local food banks to provide nutrition to those who find themselves turning to food banks for the most basic necessity of life - food. We plan to farm 1 acre of land directly across from St. Paul’s Anglican Church on the Main Road, Goulds.

We are delighted to announce that we have received $5,000 in funding from the Anglican Foundation of Canada for the Sowing Seeds - Growing Community initiative.   While the project appeared to be stalled last spring due to the poor weather, which left a very short time for all farmers for ground preparation and sowing time, we now have the ground prepared to start sowing seeds this coming planting season.  Thank you to the Anglican Foundation for their generous support.
